Reiki Classes and Treatments

Our next Reiki Class is scheduled for Saturday, June 7th, from 11:00 AM  to approximately 5:00 PM. The fee for the Reiki 1 class is $125.00; the Reiki 2 Class is $175.00. The prerequisite for the Reiki 2 class is that you must have completed a Reiki 1 class at Yoga West. Preregistration and prepayment are required.

Reiki treatments are also available at Yoga West by a Reiki Master. The fee for a one hour appointment is $75.00.

Reiki (Ray-Key) is a holistic hands-touch healing technique that aids the body in releasing stress and tension by creating deep relaxation. It helps the body accelerate natural healing, stimulate the immune system, relieve muscle spasms, cleanse toxins, release emotional blockages.

Reiki also can be an effective ancillary treatment of chronic and acute illness or injury. Reiki is sometimes referred to as a “Relaxation Technique”, and promotes the ability of the body to heal itself.

Reiki is an ancient art of holistic healing that does not conflict with individual religious beliefs and is intended to complement and be used in conjunction with modern conventional medical treatment, not to substitute for it. A reputable Reiki practitioner will never make a diagnosis, nor would they ever suggest to a client that they do not need to see a doctor.

Reiki Masters Shirley Sahaja Sicsko and Jack Sicsko have studied with numerous Reiki Masters and have taken workshops and classes with Reiki Masters and authors including Frank Arjava Petter, Kathleen Milner and William Lee Rand. At Yoga West, Reiki is taught in adherence to the principles of Mikao Usui.

A Reiki practitioner who receives certification by Jack or Shirley is invited to continue with their Reiki education, at no additional charge, by participating in regularly scheduled Reiki Sharings. Yoga West provides the facilities and tables for use by their students.
