Our Staff

Our Managing Director, Shirley "Sahaja" Sicsko, RYT 500, RM, CH is the founder, managing director and senior instructor at Yoga West. Shirley is a certified professional-level Kripalu Yoga teacher and Mentor. She instructs beginners, mixed level and private classes at Yoga West.

Shirley has attended and received certifications from Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training Program; Yoga Synthesis Teacher Training Program; Integrative Yoga Therapy Certification Program; Prenatal Yoga Certification Program; Discovery Yoga Teacher Training Program; Intensive Course in Integral Yoga, The Raja Yoga Sutras of Sri Patanjali; Integral Yoga Advanced Teacher Training Program, Level Three; Integral Yoga Advanced Teacher Training Program, Level Two; Integral Yoga Teachers Training Program, Level One; White Lotus Yoga Foundation Yoga Teacher Training in The Flow Series of Hatha Yoga. This training represents attendance in over 1,600 hours of accredited teacher training programs.

Shirley has been recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a Register Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level. She is certified to teach many forms of Hatha Yoga, Integrative Yoga Therapy, Prenatal Yoga, and Children's Yoga, and has been studying yoga for more than 30 years. She is also a Yoga Therapist, Reiki Master, Positional Release Therapist, Reconnection Practitioner, a Hypnotist, an instructor certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), the International Dance Exercise Association (IDEA), Reebok and Nike.

Shirley constantly continues her studies and training and re-certifies in all disciplines in a timely manner. As a result of this dedication, she is able to present the latest information. You receive the greatest benefit from your classes, safely.

Jack Sicsko is the co-owner and business manager of Yoga West. He also performs Positional Therapy and Reiki Treatments, Feng Shui Consultations and he teaches most Reiki Level Two classes.

Jack is a Positional Release Therapist, Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Reconnection Practitioner, Feng Shui Consultant, etc.......

Barbara "Padma" Sicsko manages our children's program, instructs beginners and mixed level classes at Yoga West and does many of our corporate classes. Barbara has attended and received certifications from Kripalu, Yoga Synthesis, and Yoga West's Teacher Training Program. Barbara is also a Reiki Master.

Other members of our staff include Nancy Nusbaum, Charlene Gattuso and Phyllis Togno. They teach at Yoga West or conduct classes at some of our contract locations. All are "certified" Yoga Teachers.  We are honored to have these experienced, and dedicated instructors associated with Yoga West.
